Second Chance eBook Series

Promoting Social Justice & Second Chance Employment

Who We Are

Mandela Media, DMA United, and Truth & Reconciliation Conversations (TRC) have partnered to launch the Second Chance eBook Series. This groundbreaking initiative is dedicated to promoting social justice and fostering support for second chance employment.

What Brought Us Together

This partnership has an intriguing backstory. In 1986, while Dr. Phumla Makaziwe Mandela, daughter of Nelson Mandela, was studying at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and Khalil Osiris was pursuing studies at Boston University – from prison, they became pen pals. Fast-forward to today, Khalil is a Senior Advisor at DMA United and Mandela Media, as well as the founder of TRC, leading this transformative initiative.
